Bee Donley was born in the Mississippi Delta in 1924. She lived in Jackson, Mississippi since 1956, where she was a teacher for over 40 years. This is her fourth book of poetry, preceded by Mostly Ghosts, Mostly Mississippi, and Mostly Today. She most recently resided at a retirement home in Ridgeland, Mississippi, until her death in 2018.
