Description

New York, NY: Random House (1950)

First Edition.

Near fine book in a very good plus dust jacket with mild edge wear and a small tear in the upper left corner of the front dust jacket. The dust jacket is not price clipped. The book has a previous owner's name and date 11/1/1950 on the first front free end paper. Otherwise the interior is clean and crisp. Overall a handsome copy of a hard to find third book.

From the dust jacket flap:
Notes and sketches about persons and places. The result of rather special journal-keeping by the young author of Other Voices, Other Rooms and A Tree of Night, it is a particularly individual record of where Truman Capote has lived and traveled: New Orleans, New York, Brooklyn, Hollywood, Haiti, Italy, North Africa, and Spain. Nine distinguished photographers have contributed the accompanying illustrations.
